Explore the Mayflower Society House!
To enhance guest experiences and to share the tour with our members far and wide, the Mayflower Society House museum in downtown Plymouth has launched a user-friendly audio tour through UniGuide!
Created by the General Society of Mayflower Descendants and UniGuide, a free smartphone app, the Mayflower Society House tour is now one of hundreds of audio tours all across the United States but the first house museum to utilize this technology in Plymouth. Now, when patrons visit the Mayflower Society House, they will have a choice of the UniGuide tour or a docent-guided tour. The two tours are available during museum hours from 11 AM until 4 PM Thursday through Sunday and are included in your admission price.
“Each tour option offers its own set of benefits. As 2020 approaches and people from all over the world come to Plymouth, we considered how to broaden what we can offer to cater to as many different visitors as we can.” GSMD Executive Director Susan Belekewicz explained, “This audio tour will open up so many doors for us in terms of accessibility, and at the same time, most of our docents have over 10 years of experience on the Mayflower House grounds. Depending on what you prefer, it’s really the best of both worlds.”
The audio tour was donated to The Mayflower Society by Vlad Andreev, CEO of UniGuide. As technology evolves, it is thanks to generous donations like this that we have the ability to carry on the Pilgrim legacy into future generations.
