There are millions of Mayflower descendants worldwide.
Are you one of them?
Join The Mayflower Society
Joining the General Society of Mayflower Descendants is a great way to honor your adventurous ancestor(s), a fun way to meet people who share your American history and a genealogical achievement not everyone can claim.
We are delighted to help you with the process!
First, you must be able to prove direct lineal descent from a passenger aboard the Mayflower who stayed on to establish the colony. Anyone who can provide evidence of direct lineage to a Mayflower Pilgrim is invited to join. To learn more about discovering your family lineage, please visit Researching Your Mayflower Lineage. Here you will find helpful information in your genealogical pursuits. The good news is that advanced research technology including online resources will likely help you in your lineage research!
Taking the Next Step…
If you would like to discuss your lineage or request assistance, your next step is to contact one of our Member Societies and collaborate with a Historian on your lineage and application. Each Member Society has at least one Historian who can help you determine your eligibility and direct you to resources to document your line.
