Lecture: “The Mayflower Society House and the Red Cross: How the House was used during World War II”
June 29 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Hosted by: Mark Schmidt, Executive Director of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants
In December 1941, just as the United States was entering World War II, the Winslow House became the property of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. It was then turned over to the Plymouth chapter of the Red Cross, and it served as their headquarters for the duration of the war. This is their story.
